We are looking for a commercially driven, highly skilled and organised Product & Lifestyle Photographer with some video experience. You will be a team player who will drive the business forward and be integral in Blend’s continued progress into lifestyle, fashion and creative imagery. It is equally as vital that you are the right character with the right attitude as you have the right skillset.

You must be excel in studio lighting for products and fashion and be passionate about photography. You will be expected to be well versed in shooting in fast-paced studios, producing high volume, high standard ecom commercial product, creative still life and fashion images. You must have a proven folio to that effect. The projects you will be involved in will vary from ‘simple” high volume packshots to complicated sets where planning and organisational skills are imperative. You must possess a sharp eye for detail with a drive to produce fantastic images, whatever the subject matter. 

As the senior photographer, you will be responsible for all aspects of the studio’s day-to-day running. You will play a significant role in the growth of the business and aid the company in achieving its business objectives. You will lead support to our junior photographers, studio assistants and freelancers. You will be responsible for all the work outputted from the studio.

The ideal candidate would benefit from videography experience and have a thirst for knowledge and growth.

As well as creating images, you will be responsible for the daily operation and maintenance of our studio. You will be able to dip into retouching and advise the post-production department. Working closely with the post-production department.

Main tasks include:

  • Fulfilling all daily Photographic assignments to a high standard.
  • Reporting to the director
  • Meeting target KPIs when shooting, and reshoots.
  • Some Video production 
  • Overseeing & Managing photographers/assistants
  • Briefing in and supporting the post-production department
  • Liaising and communicating with clients either by phone or email 
  • Monitoring and maintaining stringent quality control on all images that leave the studios – referring to previous jobs and style guides.
  • Devise and create new, more efficient processes, improve old ones.
  • Managing hardware (photography and IT) within the photographic department.
  • Responsible and delegating the tasks for the care and upkeep of the studio, equipment, props and supplies.
  • Identifying excellent external resources and freelancers – booking them in
  • Digital Asset management – organise and archive
  • Producing and collating material for our marketing channels.
  • Maintaining client relationships

Suitable candidates must demonstrate the following:

  • 4 years working in a commercial professional photographic studio as a photographer. In an Ecommerce studio environment would be desirable.
  • Excellent studio lighting skills. Having a good knowledge of all light shaping tools.
  • Some videography Experience.
  • Exceptional knowledge of Capture one 
  • A portfolio demonstrating your commercial ecom work.
  • Ability to follow style guides and briefs accurately
  • Creative flair.

We are currently looking for an experienced, passionate Retoucher to join our friendly growing team. A superstar who wishes to be a real asset, progress within a company, be a part of Blend’s growth. 

You must have at least 3 years of e-commerce studio/agency experience. Someone who is used to the high pressure of retouching 100’s of images with flair, speed and accuracy. 

The successful candidate will wow us with their speed and skill in Photoshop whilst constantly evolving these technical skills. .

You will be an integral part of the company and be a core team member who is pivotal in the business’s continued success.  

Our clients (as all are) can be impatient with extremely high standards, and you must be okay with that – we are. Your ability also to thrive under pressure is a must.

You will be actively involved in the post-production of all images that go through the studio. You must understand industry business practices, file management and have the skill-set to retouch images from simple packshots to extensive creative images.

You will be an integral part of this growing business and, as such, have good career prospects going forwards. Eventually, we are looking for a candidate to take ownership of the post-production department. 

The chosen individual must be proactive, energetic and is keen to get stuck in at all levels. 

Just to clarify – we will only consider applications from people with professional ecom post-production industry experience. You must also supply (on application) a folio to prove this, showing your ability to retouch simple products to creative still-life and fashion.

Main tasks include:

  • Fulfilling all daily post-production assignments to a high standard. Always delivering high standard e-comm retouching
  • Act as the final QC checkpoint to ensure that all final images
  • Utilising your eye for detail and creative skills you will ensure all images meet style guide and brand guidelines and capture and action retouch notes /amendments and oversee quality.
  • Retouching creative images showing technical and creative initiative of how to arrive at the required quality level
  • Develop efficiencies and manage the company and post-production workflows
  • Create and follow stringently client and internal guidelines
  • Effectively communicate with the rest of the creative team providing constructive feedback 
  • Maintain and organise all production assets on our servers. Supplying server support to the rest of the company.
  • Ensure Monitors are colour calibrated regularly
  • Experience using and maintaining Macs OS, hardware, software and server
  • Work with the director in producing marketing material for the company
  • Communicating and dealing with clients requests (via email). 
  • Producing Quotes for clients
  • Liaising and communicating with clients either by phone or email 
  • Maintaining stringent quality control on all images that leave the studios – referring to previous jobs and style guides. 
  • Act as the final QC checkpoint to ensure that all final images sent to  Blend’s Client’s are 100% accurate and correct as per the client instructions and/ or style guide and redeploy any work that has not reached this standard.
  • Devise and create new, more efficient processes, improve old ones.
  • Managing hardware (photography and IT) within the company. 
  • Digital Asset management – organise and archive

  • Undertake the consolidation of retouch teams actions and photoshop techniques so everyone is using similar techniques for consistency.
  • Oversee and undertake when required image editing and colour check/match with garments/products ensuring consistent colour & shaping accuracy with exceptional attention to detail.
