Terms and Conditions

Definitions

“The Client”: means any individual, group of individuals or entity which have entered into this hire agreement with Blend Studios Ltd
“The Studio”: means  Blend Studios Ltd,  registered in England. Company Number: 5809383.
“Hirer or Hirers”: The Client and any associated persons present on the day/s of hire.
“Studio Hire”: The rental and use of the premises for a contractually specified time and date for the business of photography, filming or related activities, or private event related hire.
“Equipment”: All fixtures, lighting and other materials supplied by Blend Studios.
“Studio Premises”: The studio that is available for hire from Blend Studios.

Booking and Payment, rescheduling and cancellation

A booking is not considered complete until payment has been made and our booking form has been filled out. At the time of payment, it is deemed that these Terms and Conditions have been agreed upon by the client (by ticking the box on the booking form that states that you have read and agreed to the terms and conditions) and payment has been received. Payment is via invoice or via the website. You must pay for all bookings at least 72 hours prior to the shoot.

On booking the Studio Premises, The Client accepts that he or she has checked that the studio is deemed to be suitable for the purposes of the hire.
The studio premises and equipment hired by the client are only available for the use of that client.
The client is not permitted to sub-contract, sub-let or otherwise allow any third party to use or occupy the studio or use the equipment or consumables without prior written permission. The Studios reserves the right to halt any activity it considers to be other than that for which the premises are intended.
The client must include set-up and take-down time within the hours booked or pay applicable over-time charges. The Overtime fee starts 15 minutes after the client’s allotted time for their session is due to end. After which time the overtime rate is £50 per hour.

The studio hire starts from the time scheduled by the booking and is finished when the studio is cleared and packed down.
After payment has been received, If a booking is cancelled within 5 days of the booking, all payments received by “the studio” are non-refundable.

Insurance, Liability

Use of The Studio and equipment is at The CLIENT’S OWN RISK. The Client hereby waives rights to seek legal redress for mishaps, accidents, and/or loss while on our premises. The Client is solely responsible for any legal infractions they or members of their party commit during The Hire Period, be they in The Studio or within the building. The client must ensure that their own public liability insurance is operative for all persons in the studio during the hours of use, to cover any accident, injury or death. 
The studio is covered by employer’s liability insurance. The Production Company is responsible for its production insurance.
Clients will be responsible for any damages that occur during their rental period to equipment or studio space due to neglect or misuse.
The studio is covered by the employer’s liability insurance to the value of £5,000,000. The Production Company is responsible for its production insurance.

Health & Safety

Studio Clients are responsible for the health & safety of their shoot.
It is the client’s responsibility to conduct their own health and safety and hazard assessment prior to their shoot.
Prior to commencing work, Clients should familiarise themselves with the location of the clearly-marked fire exit in the building.
In the event of injury, the Studio provides a First Aid Kit. However, the studio is unable to provide First Aid qualified personnel.
Open flames smoke /fog machine or hazer in the studio are not permitted unless through written consent.
Smoking is not permitted in the Studios or throughout the building (including Vapes)
Cooking is not permitted in The Studio.
The client hiring the studio is responsible and incurs full repair/replacement costs of any items that are for all breakages, losses or damages caused to the studio or equipment by him/her, or any other person from his/her team, during the use of the studio.

Breakages Loss and Damages

The client hiring the studio is responsible for all breakages, losses or damages caused to the studio or equipment by him/her, or any other person from his/her team, during the use of the studio. The studio presumes that the client, hirers and their crew are competent and capable of using equipment and facilities supplied by the studio. It is the hirer’s responsibility to ensure that all are qualified and capable of the job they are doing. The client will be held liable for any misuse or damages incurred.
The Studio agrees to provide The Equipment in good working order but makes no special guarantees as to said Equipment’s functionality or suitability for The Client’s purposes. The client must notify The Studios at the time of supply if the condition of the equipment or studio space is not acceptable. Any Equipment lost, damaged or stolen will be charged to The Client at its full replacement cost. The Client may not remove any Equipment from The Studio’s premises and all Equipment must be returned promptly at the end of The Hire
The Customer shall be responsible for any loss or damage to or theft of its own equipment or property or that of its guests.
The Client is fully and solely responsible for any breakages or damage to supplied Equipment.
Power cuts from the National Grid are not deemed to be the responsibility of the Studio; the Studio will not be held liable for any losses incurred as a result of power cuts.

Conduct and Noise.

We ask that clients respect the other occupants of the building and those around them. The studio is situated in a shared environment and we reserve the right to request the client to cease any disturbance that might cause a nuisance. All noise must be kept at a respectable level and the hirers shall respond to any request to reduce the noise level if necessary. The hirer is responsible for ensuring their own behaviour and that of others attending your booking is appropriate. We reserve the right to terminate with immediate effect (without refund) any sessions that in our sole discretion deem inappropriate or causing a disturbance.

Capacity.

A maximum capacity of 15 people is permitted during the studio booking in either Studio one or Studio two. Additional persons will be asked to leave and your booking will be terminated with immediate effect without recourse to a refund.

Power.

The studios are supplied with multiple 13amp. It is the client’s responsibility to ensure this is adequate for their requirements.

Parking

The studio supplies 3 car parking spaces for each studio. Permits will be provided and these must be returned at the end of the shoot. Any failure to return the permits will incur a £70 administration fee.
The Studio will not be held responsible for penalty fines incurred by Studio Clients and their visitors who park their vehicles in contravention of prevailing traffic laws, the Studios Car Park or associated parking facilities.
Any parking provided by the studio is used at one’s own risk – the studio accepts no responsibility for any damage or theft to any vehicle.

Tidying the studio after use.

At the end of the client’s shoot, it is the client’s responsibility to dispose of all rubbish, clear down sets and remove any material immediately which includes but is not limited to, lighting equipment (except those supplied by the studio), furniture, shooting equipment, food, drink, props and general waste. Failure to do so will result in the studio, as they see fit, arranging for disposal. The costs for removal will be passed onto the client plus £50 administration fee.

Animals and Children

The client must ensure that all persons under the age of 18 are accompanied by an adult.
Animals are allowed in the studio but you may be asked with prior permission from the studio manager.
