Studio Hire - Terms and Conditions
Definitions
“The Client” – Any individual, group of individuals, or entity that has entered into this hire agreement with Blend Studios Ltd.
“The Studio” – Blend Studios Ltd, registered in England. Company Number: 5809383.
“Hirer or Hirers” – The Client and any associated persons present on the day(s) of hire.
“Studio Hire” – The rental and use of Blend Studios’ premises for a contractually specified time and date for photography, filming, or related activities, or private event-related hire.
“Equipment” – All fixtures, lighting, and other materials supplied by Blend Studios Ltd.
“Studio Premises” – The studio that is available for hire from Blend Studios Ltd.
Booking, Payment, Rescheduling, and Cancellation
A booking is not considered complete until full payment has been made via the website booking page and the booking form has been completed.
At the time of payment, the client is deemed to have agreed to these Terms and Conditions (by ticking the box on the ‘Book Online’ page that states they have read and agreed to the terms and conditions).
All payments must be made via the website booking page at least 72 hours prior to the shoot.
By booking the Studio Premises, the Client confirms that the studio is suitable for the intended use.
The studio premises and equipment hired are for the sole use of the Client and may not be subcontracted, sublet, or otherwise transferred to third parties without prior written permission.
The Studio reserves the right to halt any activity it considers outside the intended purpose of the premises.
Clients must include set-up and take-down time within the booked hours or pay applicable overtime charges. The overtime fee starts 15 minutes after the booking ends and is charged at £60 per hour or part thereof.
Studio hire starts at the scheduled time and ends when the studio is cleared and packed down.
Any extra costs incurred during the hire period, including overtime fees or refreshments, will be charged to the credit card used for the booking.
Cancellations within five (5) days of the booking are non-refundable.
Insurance & Liability
Use of The Studio and equipment is at the Client’s own risk. Clients are advised to take appropriate safety precautions and waives rights to seek legal redress for mishaps, accidents, or loss while on our premises.
The Client is solely responsible for any legal infractions committed during the hire period, within The Studio or the building.
The Client must ensure that their own public liability insurance is operative for all persons in the studio during the hire period.
The Studio holds employer’s liability insurance, but it is the Client’s responsibility to have their own production insurance.
Clients are responsible for any damages to equipment or studio space during their rental period due to neglect or misuse.
Health & Safety
The use of ladders is undertaken at your own risk.
Clients are responsible for their own health & safety assessments before the shoot.
Clients should familiarise themselves with the clearly marked fire exits before commencing work.
The studio provides a first aid kit, but no first-aid-qualified personnel.
Open flames, smoke/fog machines, or hazers are not permitted unless with written consent.
Smoking and vaping are strictly prohibited within the studio and throughout the building. Alcohol consumption and the use of illegal substances are also strictly forbidden. Any individual found to be under the influence of alcohol or illegal substances will be required to leave the premises immediately, and the studio reserves the right to terminate the booking without refund or liability for any resulting losses.
Cooking is not allowed in the studio.
Breakages, Loss, and Damages
Clients are responsible for all breakages, losses, or damages to the studio or equipment caused by them or their team.
Any lost, damaged, or stolen equipment will be charged at full replacement cost.
Conduct and Noise
Clients must respect other occupants in the building.
The studio reserves the right to halt or terminate bookings (without refund) if a session is deemed inappropriate or disruptive.
Power & Parking
The studio is supplied with multiple 13-amp power sockets. It is the Client’s responsibility to ensure this is adequate for their requirements.
Each studio booking includes 3 parking spaces. Vehicles must be registered with the studio manager upon arrival.
Tidying the Studio After Use
Clients must dispose of all rubbish, clear sets, and remove materials immediately after their shoot.
Animals & Children
Anyone under 18 years old must be accompanied by an adult.
Animals are allowed in the studio only with prior written permission.
